For someone that can't turn on her TV, it is a little scary that I bought a saw this weekend!!! $40 at Harbor Freight, what a deal!! 4.5" wet saw blade. Since I still do not have my cab machine, I thought I can go to town, slabbing and shaping preforms. Since I get impatient and like to be independent, I didn't want to always burden Tony with cutting everything. So he showed me how to work this very scary and messy little saw! When the sparks were flying I knew I had enough!

Hmmm ... fingernail polish ... but there ARE nicks and cuts ... methinks by the end of this summer you'll have sported The Rock Monster look many times. ;D

Well I cabbed all day at Tony's on Friday and my acrylic nails were cut through and had to be pryed off. I have at least 13 cuts on my hands, I told him I was afraid I was getting manly rock hands, hahahahah. BUt my nails are short, I used to have long nice nails until I found this hobby.

Now you can take the money you used to spend on manicures and put it into machines, stones, and gas money for hounding!

I have a little saw like that. Cut many a slab with it. Got to get a new blade so I can cut some more! It's great fun when you get to know it. You don't have to worry about cutting your fingers off like with a regular saw. Might do a job on those acrylic fingernails though! llana

Amber, that is a great little saw and great for indoors. Good for you! I had a saw like that for my first saw. You'll love it! I agree with MJ, put the nail $$$ into rocks, silver and equipment. But, that's just my :2cents: .
LOL! Yeah!!!

This is great and aside from the manicure issue, are you loving it? From the pic, it looks like you are doing a good job keeping the mess under control.

She did very well with the saw and cut up enough preforms and freeforms to last her 6 months. She will have a nicer cabbing machine than me but at least I have a better saw..... for now. lol

That is great! You have the saw and the grinder. You can really go to town with that combination! Now you will be doping them and having them sit and wait their turn to be cabbed. That is so fun! I sure hope you get your cabber soon! Fran
