Hello All,I started tumbling a few years ago when I got my kids a cheap tumbler on Ebay.Things got out of control very quickly. We now have several machines of different sizes, both rotary and vibe.last year I built a slab saw which is currently spinning an 18 inch blade.I named it the mudshark after I discovered what a mess it's capable of making. But it cuts perfect slabs every time.I just made a power feed for it and life got so much easier.I am hoping to get some pics up in the next few days.I think this is a great board and the people on it are top shelf!I've learned a lot by reading the posts here and I hope to contribute to all the fun things going on here.Mike

Hey Mike. I'm new here too. Lots of great people here willing to share all they know! Please be sure to post lots of pics of your home made slab saw! I was just thinking of searching to see if anyone's done that.

Welcome to the board! I sure do know how tumblers can get out of control! Right now I have 8 barrels going but the vibe is quiet. (I am waiting for stones to get nicely rounded). I am going to check the home made equipment after this so I can see the saw you made. It takes a lot of creativity to build your own equipment! I don't think I will ever be there... Glad you are here! Fran
