Howdy folks, Well, had to work on the deck yesterday and cut some cedar this morning but I got in a quick hunt for awhile today. Hot though, in the 80's. Only thing wrong with hunting in a giant cedar break is I always get lost and can't remember where I've been before.Kinda like walking circles in one of the fancy European estate mazes. Anyway, did stumble on some more of the cycad stuff and some other new deposits. First pic is of some tumble sized pieces. Can't figure what the blue/gray cauliflower looking nodules are. They look almost like orbicular agate. Looks like a fun tumble though as they're very agatized. Thanks for looking...Mel Found a bunch of this breccia/puddingstone stuff, little agate blocks and orbs shot through limestone: Found one hunk of the cycad stuff broken cleanly in half showing internal geometry. Weird stuff. I'm still a bit skeptical about the cycad ID.; Finally, by diggin up pieces where only a little bit was showing, I found a big hunk of the cycad? Maybe half of a log? section. This one actually seems to have a few stem like protrusions;

These are so cool. Since the second to last one is broken open anyway, will you be polishing or cabbing it? That last one is really neat.

Wow Mel, I can really see the stems and everything on that last one. Those are some treasures you hunted. Yeah Mel, are we gonna have to wait til you finish the deck to see a cab???

Now, that's Awesome! You are going to need to start taking out little markers of some sort to stick in the ground so you know you have been there before. You are really finding so many interesting things there! Fran
