This is almost a 20lb chunk. I'm thinking it's Poppy but it also looks like it could be Ocean Jasper. So....please Speak Up with your thoughts. THANKS! Steve

Guadalupe Jasper from near the Morgan Hill site south of San Jose. The site has been a disposal site for many years now so you have got a chunk of material that is getting quite rare. Bob

Yeah, I'd cast my vote for Guadalupe Poppy Jasper too. Got to say though, at Snyders last time I went, I did see some OJ that was a dead ringer patternwise for Guadalupe but with way less fractures. Wanted to buy it but the piece was huge and therefore real expensive...Mel

Steve: You are going to need a bigger saw to slice that baby, beautiful!

Thanks you guys. So.....it seems like it still might be in the air. I'm mixed...because on one side..OJ..the other is Guadalupe. Amber...A bigger saw is needed for sure. I am currently running my saw on a rock much bigger than I should cut. I'm gonna be posting it if it ever gets cuts through. It was ID'd as Pet Wood...but I'm thinking something different. Steve

Not that I'm an expert, but I lean toward the Guadalupe as well, with the red ringing the white spots. Granted, that first shot I would have said pure OJ.
Interesting.
And lol - pet wood? No matter if it's Guadalupe or OJ, it's definitely more than pet wood!

Here is a large cab of Guadalupe. Looks a lot like the third picture. Bob

I agree with ya 100% Bob. It fits the big boulder to a tee...especially that side. Thanks. Steve

Like the others, I thought OJ with the first pic but the rest are so much like Guadalupe. Either way that is one helluva nice chunk!
