I can't imagine making cuts straight enough to match up two pieces let alone that many. What a work of art.

The patience, dedication, and perseverance that this kind of project requires is awe inspiring. Especially when it does not go 100% according to plan as you confessed. Truly an amazing piece. Thanks for sharing.

That is absolutely astounding! The amount of time effort and skill that went into that is mind boggling! It would be hard to put a price on that, it is truly a wonderful work of art.

This is me - the one who has been labled "Lady Blabbermouth". While it happens only rarely, this is one instance in which I just cannot find the right words.
I stand in awe of your magnificent artistry!

Mossy:
How did I miss this post? And this whole section???
WOWSA!!! That is amazing! What patience that must have required, it is STUNNING!!!! I agree with Adrian, it is so super backlit it would be a beautiful lamp!!! What a grogeous piece of art to be so proud of completing. Sparkles on here sent me a small piece of that green indian moss agate, it is beautiful material, I love it! I can't imagine how this must look in person!
I hate to aske this but how is it held together, is it glued? I can't imagine just the glue skills, I would be all stuck to myself trying to glue that!!!
Great job!!!!! Please post more!!!!!! Amber

Amber, The bowl is held together by Epoxy 330. This Epoxy is slow-drying, but is very strong, once set. I would post more bowls if I had them, but I only did this one and the pentagon plume candy dish that I posted in early January '09 under "General Rocks Board" (I didn't see any other topic where it would fit. That's one of the reasons I was happy to see this new "Creations" topic.)
Thanks to all for your uplifting comments.

Well crap........your work is totally inspiring. I had been working on some cuts to get the to fit great and quit awhile. Now you've just drove me to try again! That bowl is amazing and beautiful. You captured the beauty of the rocks, but made them into a fine art that could be used in some of the finest settings.

Well, it's bad enough to have to cut and sand all those fitted edges..but then you decided to scollop the top edges and make them all match. Amazing! And then backlit it blows it out of this world! T
