Thank you for posting this for us new members. The tutorial was very informative and the end product is remarkable! I like the way you fit everything together with precision. What is the knife blade made from? It looks very heavy duty.

I think this is the first time I saw this. Is that a hybrid tanto? Very nice weapon. I especially like the serated back edge.

stone & knife! Nice work. Always wanted to craft a knife. Wore out saw blades is great material.
Romania interest me. Have a friend from there who sent me some literature on the monasteries of Barsana & Bukovina region. The art work is intense & the architecture is fabulous.
Thanks for bring it back to the top.

Thank you all!
Mossyrh, this is a blade for a mechanical saw, designed for steel cutting. Very hard material, maybe toohard. It ruined a vidia drill after the first hole, couldn't drill more of them. It was close to ruin the project when the blade broke while tgrying to drill the second hole but it was on the handle and it could be welded.
Edmost, glad to hear you are interested about Romania. Yes, Bucovina is one of the famous regions regarding the monasteries. If you are interested in anything else regarding monuments, architecture or sceneries please let me know.
Michael, you're right it is a Tanto knife.
Fran, if you saw another knife like this one in April, it's the same one. This is the only knife I made so far.

Chuck LOL, most girls ask for flowers and jewelry on the holidays. Me? A new firearm or knife does quite nicely. A couple of days ago with my favorite......sawed off 12 gauge Maybe I can hire Adrian to make me a custom knife

That's some superior workmanship there.Nice job!thanks for re-posting it.I,m wondering how you secured the bolsters to the shaft.I do some hammer and anvil blacksmithing and I will be making a small sword for my sons karate instructor this summer and I would like the handle to be like yours.I was planning on drilling the bolsters and peening a brass or silver pin to hold them in place. That's a lot of shell casings on the ground. No wonder you need your music loud! What the heck were you unloading on? Practicing for a bank robbery?
