Here is an Obsidian Obelisk that I made a few years back. It is about 7" tall. The sides were made of brass, the pattern was cut out with a jeweler's saw (piercing) and then gold plated and the stones are Montana Agate. Bob

Bob, when I read the title a lil voice inside my head said "Oh jeez, not a cheezy obelisk - those things always look soooo whatever at the tourista-dime-gift-stores." Then I saw the photo and WOW! that is some great work! Dean

You did a great job! The Brass cut out pattern is very beautiful and flowing and the agates just melt into the pattern. The Obsidian is a beautiful piece and it flows so nicely! Fran

To me that is amazing ! I have tried my heart out to use a jewelers saw in the simplest manner and have nothing but trouble with it.I consider it a GREAT day when I can cut a simple bail out of a sheet of silver and still have my senses about me when I am finished with it.
To be able to cut your design out with a saw is an art in itself!
You're an inspiration to me Sir!!!!

That is amazingly beautiful and the workmanship wonderful. It had to have been tricky cutting out the stems for the flower and leaves.

Bob: That is a beauty, so much time and skill put into something like that. Wielding a jeweler's saw is no easy task! You make everything look effortless!!! As always, a master!!! Amber
