The Obsidian, If you cut it to the plane of the cooling bands you may get the Gold sheen out of the material.

Roger, have to agree with majority of post so far that agates is the choice. Great work on cabs' and wire wrapping.

The agates rule, but that obsidian looks great, looks really rich in color! I guess my fav is #6, with that druzy and crazy pattern, and beautiful soft colors!!

Very nice work. I like the obsidian, especially how you can see through some of the mahoghany bands. The agate is also spectacular..nice tight banding and great colors. I have a bunch of similar slabs of Teepee Canyon agate.
