Howdy folks,
One of our board members, Jason, mentioned that shops often have old bola ties that are fairly cheap but were made long ago when good rock was more common. Many have stones worth more than the bola price and might be worth buying just to redo in a new mount with the old stone. I've been considering doing that with the first bola I ever made ( probably was a teen when I did this one). Probably only cost me like $2 for the stone and parts back then and I only had a tumbler so the slab is just tumble polished. This is Owyhee Jasper with a pretty nice scene. Thinking it might be pretty nice shaped up a bit and mounted into a belt buckle or newer bola setting.....Mel
