My initials are SWS so I'm used to being towards the end of the list. I remember back in elementary school, a teacher wanted to mix it up once so she had us line up alphabetically by first names instead of last. I went from a "Sy" to a "St" woohoo yay me!

Poor Syfun. He tried so hard to climb to the top of the Leader Board and for a little while today, there he was...first name on the list!!! Alas, his time of glory was all too short! He is no longer sitting in that pride of place position! And the next Puzzle won't get posted until Saturday, so it will only get worse for Syfun between now and then. Lady B

Hey! Raw deal! I was there first! Now I understand why people call you names!
Well, I'm not going to resort to name calling just yet. I'll just get back up on top Saturday morning when I'm not distracted by work.
Bring it on! Steve

bye bye people -- going over to post a super bowl score ! ;D ;D -- I didn't even see the sampler had a "point" to it until tonight --also I've found 6 ways of solving #3 except for the diagonals so am giving up as the numbers/letters are all blurry now ---- and I also see several have already solved #4 ---------- time to try something else ok, at 11:10 last night I gave up and chopped my head off , then rinsed it out under the faucet --- should of seen all the numbers & letters that fell out of it !!! ;D --- got up this morning and things were alot clearer --so now I solved three of them in 5 hours ! -- going to rinse my head out again !! ;D I should of known better ---- Kate told me I solved #3&4 with the letters in the wrong boxes ( the few that she gave us)-- no wonder they were so hard !! ;D-------- I'll not go thu 50-100 sheets of paper again so will see you when this is over !

After careful consideration of everyone's efforts and in the spirit of fair play, I think Snowdog desrves a lot of credit!!! He worked very hard on solving these insane puzzles! He even came up with well placed letters BUT because he had transcribed the letters more than once, there was a shift on the final puzzles he submitted. The answers he did come up with - after the accidental shift - met the criteria of an Extreme Sudoku Puzzle! After all of that work - and it is WORK - to solve these puzzles, I have decided to give him partial credits for the two puzzles that got screwed up. I am certain all of the other Players will agree with me that hard work in a Lady B Contest deserves to be recognized! So...Snowdog is getting a B+ for the 3-Star and 4-Star Puzzles!! (His scores reflect percentages of the possibles!) Maybe after a fun day of watching the Super Bowl or whatever, he will give the Five-Star a shot! Kate

What I was affraid of mostly, did happen: I cannot place a letter in a 4x4 cluster! Right now I feel I don't have neither the mental power nor the time to start it again. But there's still time to re-consider this. Bow to the masters who succeeded, you're really good! Adrian
