All of you know that I am working with two small and very basic tumblers (Rolling Stones).
I went to flip over the gasket to help keep a even tread going and dropped the gasket and it fell inside the tumbler. Not the barrel .... but down a small hole inside the tumbler.
Now luckily I have a second tumbler to use until I either am able to fix it or get another cheapy.
Does anyone here know what I can do or not?
I know most if not all of you are way above my equipment. I am hoping though someone can tell me or help me to get that gasket out. I do not want to use the tumbler and find out it will get stuck or start a fire.
My Humble Thanks

The Rolling Stones tumblers come apart by using a torx screwdriver size T10. There are 4 screws in the bottom and it all opens up. If you insist on using it, be careful to line everything up when you put it back together. It's not too tough. We tried them last year as xmas gifts for the kids. The first failed so we bought another, we were less than impressed. So much that we set everything aside for a year before I ended up building my own rig. We're rolling, tumbling and happy now.
Oh yeah, if you want the parts and pieces of the two rolling stones tumblers I have, I'd gladly trade them for a box of rocks or leather.

I've had my Rolling Stones for 2 years. I admit, I use it infrequently for very small batches and aside from the drive rubber (gasket), it has worked fine. Use plenty of vaseline when you seal the lid and a little on the barrel shafts.
You should be able to either fish it out with a coat hanger or take apart the tumbler. Torx drivers are widely available at hardware stores or auto parts stores.
Good luck! Chuck

Good Morning All!
Thank you so much for the help.
I had looked at the bottom and thought for sure I would need an allen (sp?) wrench, but the design was a bit different.
So ... off I go to Harbor to get a Torx wrench
Thanks Guys .... once again!
ps .... so far I have not had problems with these two ... but who knows.
Hopefully I will be able to get through at least two full batches as I try to save for a bigger tumbler.

I got a really neat torx set for 7.99, some diamond drill bits for 7.99 that should fit my Black & Decker and a really cool .... YAY!!!! small bench grinder!!! for 29.99. The grinder also comes with the dremel type tool called a flex shaft. Very Cool!!
Me thinks, I am going to start have some real fun!!!
