i recently bought a replacement blade for my WF after I trashed the original. Thhe MK 225 from Home Depot cost $45 plus tax, not cheap, but I think it's a keeper. The plate thickness is about the same as the edge so the cuts stay smooth abnd straight. there is a little more vigration than I'd like but nothing too bothersome. The blade makes fairly smooth cuts and seems to be holding up well. The kerf is fairly thin,. too. It is slotted everty inch or so and I thought that might create an edge to shred fingers but it hasn't. if it holds up as well over the long haul i'll be happy.
I have a question for those of you with more experience. I still need a trim saw blade. UKAM makes a reasonably priced blade That might be a good bet. I don;'t know the company but apparently it is an older and larger player in the field. Anyone have any information about thier products?
I saw hitachi tile saw blades on Amazon on closeout- about 75% off. I saw one in the store and it appeared to have a slightly thicker edge than the plate itself. I normally wouldn't like that but t was a very slight difference. They were seolling for$28 as I recall(?)
