A most excellent tumble of some wonderful local stones! Getting a glassy shine on material you picked up yourself for free is the best! Super job! Care to describe your method?

Thanks for the kind words.
Ejs, I run them in 60/90 SiC grit until they are smooth enough for me (usually 1-4 weeks depending on the rock). Then I go 600 SiC for 1 week. Then I run AO polish for 2 weeks.
I used to have a 220 SiC grit step in there, but the 600 grit step seemed to reduce the size of the rock more than just enough to take out the 220 scratches. So I tried skipping it and got the same results as always.
Keep in mind that the rock I have has been through a glacier so it is already partly rough tumbled, and its all agate / jasper or similar so it polishes easy too. You might not get away without the 220.

Really nice looking batch. I really like the Jaspers. It looks like you maybe precut some of them? Thanks for sharing! Don ps: It is so neat when you are able to collect your own material & see it through to the final end product. By the way, you sure seem to have a huge variety right in your own "backyard"!

Nice shine!
The agate is similar to Montana agate, but just a little different. Interesting.
The last one looks like it's "peeling" along the banding planes. Lakers sometimes do that, but it sure doesn't look like agate.
