I managed to get out in the barn again when we had a heatwave hit at 38 degrees. Here are a couple more green jasper slabs. Hope you enjoyed them and thanks for looking. Stay warm everybody, looks like we may be getting some more of that Artic air next week. Hope

You have some neat colors in that one. Is that a crystal area or a crack in the top picture? I am glad that you were able to get out for a little while today. Have to enjoy the "warm" moments when we can! Fran

It's a hole, Fran. It goes clear through the slab at about a 45 degree angle. My first thought was to try to seal the hole at both ends and leave the hole in there when I made a cab out of it, but I could just cab the areas that don't have the hole in it. Who knows?

That makes it a tough decision but maybe if you go along with the hole, you have a beautiful almost arrowhead shape there in the green. Lots of areas that could be cabbed there! Fran

Nice colorful slabs Hope! 38 degrees is pushing it though. ;D I think a cab along the one side of the crystaly druzy center would be neat. Don't grind that side at all and finsih the opposite side. I know you'll findthe perfect cabs out of the slbas though. I think warmer weather is just around the corner! Steve

Thanks for the input. I will need to study that slab a little before I cut on it with the great suggestions.
