Hello, and yes I'm new here, I have some familarity with tumbling rocks, but I have run into a slight problem on what to use to polish slag (it's a coloured glass in chunks and makes for interesting jewelry I used it years ago in thunder bay, but can't remember what was used for it. I have used the oxide for polish but they still look cloudy ,I hope someone here can help with this delema , thank-you for allowing me to join your group,it's alittle confusing but in time i will figure it out. have a good nite or day 80di TEXT

Glass is a lot like tumbling quartz. I like powdered cerium oxide. It takes a lot of tumble time.

hello there just thought i would put my 2 cents worth in as well... i added some glass from the beach in my last batch and it turned out really well ... in this batch i used a raybrite polish and had good results... I've added a lot more glass to a batch that is now in the 3rd stage i will let you know how it turns out in about 10 days....HURK
