This is going to be a good one. I can feel it all the way down to the rocks in my socks!!! ;D Here is the fifth official puzzle in Lady B's Rocking Sudoku!!! Contest. It’s a tough one to crack! This fifth puzzle is The “Am I Fossil, Mineral, Rock, or Gemstone?” Category, and the Keyword for this puzzle is: Oh My Gosh!!!! The Keyword is missing. It seems that the superiorly successful Sudoku Solver will have to solve that little conundrum, too! But don’t worry! A wise old philosopher said oh so many years ago: “That which is used most is never used!” I’m certain superiorly successful Sudoku Solvers will have this little conundrum cracked in no time!!! ;D And just to make it a bit easier to determine what that Keyword is, here is a lovely image that I have masterfully designed just for this puzzle! (Is that one of those Japanese monkeys that sit in the warm spring waters in winter time that I see smiling out at me? I do see the strangest things in these old rocks, don't I?!!) - Oh...and here’s another helpful hint regarding the identity of that Keyword:
“Since it holds the highest rank amongst its peers you might be tempted to think of it as a King, metamorphically speaking!”
In order to solve the puzzle you will need to follow this link: Adobe pdf format link: www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.php?id=1048897&da=yThere are additional instructions and helpful information in the puzzle file. And you might also want to refer to this file: “ Need a Bit of Help with Those Pretty Yellow Diagonals” if you are feeling bedazzled by that amazing imagery and frazzled by that missing Keyword! Adobe pdf format link: www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.php?id=1040906&da=yThis puzzle has a value of 5 Credits for trying to solve this puzzle; and 7 Credits for sending me your Solution by PM (user name ladybeabea) by 11:59 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday, February 4th. (You have until the official close of the Contest – 11:59 AM Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 – to submit your Solution if you are not trying to earn any Extra Credits.) Tell me (via PM of course) exactly what the missing Keyword is by 11:59 PM Eastern Time, Sunday, February 1st, and you can earn an additional 3 Credits. Wait until 11:59 PM Eastern Time, Monday, February 2nd, and it drops to 1. Wait any longer, and there will be no extra credits for identifying the missing Keyword. By successfully solving this Puzzle you will earn 10 Points out of a possible 60 for this Contest. Have FUN and Happy Solving!! Lady B

Dog fed .... check Coffee ... check Mechanical pencils and erasers ... check Aspirin ... check Snacks and water ... check iPod ... check Depends .... check Have I forgotten anything? ;D Yes, you have! It is very, very important that you do not sit in one position for too many hours!! It can impair your circulation, especially in your legs. Set a timer, if need be, so you remember to change position periodically. Other than that, it looks like you are all set!!! Oh! Yes! You might want to add a piece or two of hard peppermint candy to your snack pile. Research has proven that peppermint stimulates the brain!! Restauranteers have unsuspectedly known this for years - ever notice the little bowls of peppermints they offer as you leave? Many people think it's just as a digestive aid. In fact, it's to help stimulate the central nervous system so the driver will remain alert after all that yummy food! (Peppermint also stims the hiatal sphincter to shut so that stomach acids will not slosh back up the esophagus, either, so it serves two purposes after a good meal fills the tummy!) And you thought this contest was just about how crazy Lady B could drive Forum members!!! ;D LB

Still working on the four-star and went looking at the five-star.
The only thing I do understand are the monkeys ...
But after that .... everything is a blur ...
Off I go to stretch and make a pot of black tea.
meanders away muttering to self ....
Actually thank you for the reminder about moving about ...
I think it is a very good idea to get up and walk around before you lose all feeling in your butt!

I wish the leader board was still getting updated. I like seeing my name up there on top. Can't wait for the next one.

It ain't over 'til it's over!!!
The extra credits are going to get used to buy Letters for cells in Puzzle #6 - but some of you are soooooo good at solving the puzzles, you might not need to use up your extra credits that way. And in the end - for every five Extra Credits you still have, you will get an exchange of one Point towards that final tally of 60!
When you all finally see what that Keyword is, you are going to smack yourselves in the head!!!! ;D
There are hints and clues all over these different game threads...you just aren't seeing them because I have your brain cells all sitting in separate cells!!! ;D
