Hi everybody, I'm Bob from Utah. I've been visiting RTH almost every day for about a year and joined several months ago. I thought it was about time I thanked everybody for all the help I've received from you people. It seems like the more you mess with rocks the more you can't think of anything else. I started with a rotary from Harbor Freight that was a piece of junk. I decided then, don't buy them, build them. So here's what I've accumulated in less than a year. A 10 lb Gy-Roc vib (I bought this one), I made the following, a 20" slab saw, 3 - rotaries, 2 - 3 lb vibs, 3 - 10 lb vibs, and 7" saw. Does this sound like I'm addicted? It's been a lot of fun. I'll post some pics of the stuff I've made when I learn how. Thanks again....Bob

Hi Bob! Yeah, there isn't much good that comes out of Harbor Freight. Looking forward to the pics!

Bob, Welcome to RTH! Where-abouts in Utah you at? It looks like I might have a neighbor that can help me finish up some equipment I've been rebuilding! ;D Steve

Hi Baz, I posted a few pics of the slab saw over on Homemade Equipment.
Hi Steve, yeah, what projects have you got going? I live out in Magna.

Welcome Bob...this is a great place. If you really get involved in some of the trips, the friendships that result from those are priceless.
Welcome onboard.
Ozzy
ps. I'm in Orem.

Man Bob.... Just looking at all the pictures of all the equipment you've made....I don't think there's nothing you'd have problems building. I have a homemade tumbler that will roll 3-12lb barrels. I'm sure I could get it going.....I just can't seem to find the time. I'm up a little further north...Clinton. Although I commute to Salt Lake daily. Steve

From Richfield in central Utah myself.
We have a couple of trips in the making for April. You should see if you can make one.
This will be my first with RTH. Really looking forward to it. Spring is slowly getting closer. Will be April before you know it.

Yeah, I was thinking if I got time I'd like to go on at least one of the trips that have been planned. I use to spend a lot of time in Southern Utah. I'm originally from Mt. Pleasant. Had mining claims out west of Delta for 50 years. Love it down there. Summer can't come too fast for me, I've got cabin fever something fierce...Bob
