I decided it was time to stop lurking and get busy on the forum...lol. Actually I've been spending some much time on rockhounding in Arizona that I haven't been online much. I also have too many emails and forums I'm on so don't remember to check in to all of them often. well, at any rate, just wanted to say hi Diane

Bob, sorry I didn't answer you sooner. I haven't been checking the threads I bookmarked and it didn't notify me there was a reply. Think I got that fixed now. Thanks for the replay. I am in Helena currently but looking to move eventually to the country. What do you do up there in Lincoln? Beautiful place. Are you coming to the Helena Gem and Mineral show on the 18th and 19th of April?

I'll try to post some pics of what I have here. Hope this works. Malachite from Arizona, Bullard Mine Wulfenite from Purple Passion Mine, AZ Calcite (dogtooth spar) from Ohio I've got more but that's enough for now I suppose.

Howdy.....I'll be at the rock show Saturday. Wouldn't miss it. There are not enough shows around here to satisfy me. I just came in from digging in my rock pile. It is almost thawed out. There are some really nice jasper and agates up here but they are mostly all fractured and cracked. Every now and then I find a nice one..........Bob

Welcome. I stayed in Helena a few years ago at the Yogi Bear RV Park. Visited the Smokejumpers museum while there. Nice to have Yellowstone as a backyard.

** Boy was I off. The Smokejumpers museum and Yogi Bear Park I visited was in Missoula, not Helena. Anyway, it's all beautiful country out there.

Good to hear you are going Bob. I got some nice jasper from this area but not any good agate. I have a rock pile too but haven't been digging in it yet. Mine's not frozen but it's just been too dang cold to be outside for a long time (and I know I'd be out there a long time if I got started digging in it...lol).
Thanks Condor. It would be nice to have Yellowstone in the backyard if I could only get the time to go. It's still a bit of a drive from here so I haven't been in a while. Actually I'd rather be rock hunting when I'm off and Yellowstone doesn't have many rock locations I know of, although I'm sure there are some. Maybe worth a trip sometime in the near future, that is if I can take off time from work. By the way, never heard of Woodward Agates but those in your pic are interesting.

Hello -- welcome to the club and hope you have fun. I really love the Montana moss agate, are you anywhere close to those digs?
I got some pigeon blood agate from Utah, I will trade if you are interested.

Ozzy, thanks for the welcome. Sorry but I don't have any moss agate. I believe the areas to dig for that are way east of where I live but I'm not sure exactly where.
