John, the recipe for this batch : 6 weeks in coarse grind 2 weeks in 220 2 weeks in 600 2 weeks in CO polish with ceramic pellets.

Really? ceramic pellets in the polish? Or did you mean plastic pellets?

They are cylinders with angle cut ends so not really "pellets" I guess. They came with the Diamond Pacific grit kit That I got to start my first tumble, and I've used them in every batch I've done so far.

Interesting! I use those ceramic cylinders in rough and medium grinds to help increase the grinding action of the grit, but I use plastic pellets during pre-polish, polish, and burnish.
I can't argue with your results!
