I think you are doing GREAT! Esp since you are using round wire! I can't do that good using square wire on my 10th attempt! llana

Chris, you are doing great! I love how you took Randy's basic tutorial and added your own style to it. You really worked the wire with the contours and character of the rock and did some new and different stuff. Looking forward to more. Jo

Those look great bud, your binding wraps are tight and that's the hard part. Keep doing more until you feel confident, then get some sterling silver square wire and half-round wire. You'll love working with that stuff!

Thank you so much llana, Jo , and especially Randy ( without that tutorial I never would have tried it )!!!! If anyone know of any other tutorials like that please post them, I would love to see some other methods.... My bail at the top is a little messy, but I'm happy so far. I think it is easier working with tumbled stoned, as symmetry is not that important . I did notice that the wire made marks on the stones ( mostly the black one ), it didn't scratch them, just left silver marks wherever it touched them... is that because of the cheap wire, or maby the saitn finish on the stones? I do need some better tools though, I bought a cheap set at Hobby Lobby and didn't notice it was a mini tool set ( boy are they small!!! ).... and a better tumbler, a tile saw, etc..... boy the list just keeps growing ;D

They are GREAT!!!!!! I gave up on wire wrapping, and for your first ones, it looks like you have been doing it like a pro!!! It might help to wrap the tips of your tools with a little duct tape, then you won't scratch the wire and stones as easily, until you get other tools! Great job, I really like the 2nd one!! Amber

Those are really nice wraps. They are really fancy for first and second attempts. I would never be able to try something that complicated to start. Good job. Pat

those are wonderful first wraps........ the wire looks very sturdy, so i think it would be harder to bend.
