I spent the afternoon cutting some rocks down to size for tumbles and cabs. Seam agate from Michael John Also from MJ, some speckeled stuff and white with different flecks in them Lots of green to tumble I believe this was a rock from Catmandewe (Tony) Some yellows from MJ Some pet wood that I got from the rock shed An agate freebe in a box from Catmandewe. I just took a few slices off. This stuff is hard! This was one from my son and here are two little stones that were in a box from MJ. They were very sparkly so I ground them down to see what they would look like. They are not done being shaped but are starting to look like something. They seem to behave like amethyst when shaping so you have to watch for undercutting but they are prettier than these pictures. Whew! It has been a busy day! Thanks for looking! Fran

A busy but FUNNNN day! I enjoy a day of good cutting as much as anything. Looks like it will be a nice load of tumbles. Steve

Wow, looks like that's going to be a great batch of tumbles. Just love the colors and patterns. Can't wait to see them. You're doing a great job with that purple stuff. Jo

Job well done! I enjoy the cutting and shaping as much as the tumbling. Nothing as satisfying as getting the first look at the innards of a promising looking rock.

I can't wait to see the results! I have a bunch of MJ rocks I'm working on, too! What do you do with your finished tumbles? Susan

Well, When I get around to it, some of them get wrapped. I am overdue for a sit down spell of just doing that. I have a few that I want to wrap for some of the folks here and just haven't done it yet. Even this weekend, I cut out some preforms from slabs. I still need to grind them down though. I guess I will post them soon. Fran
