Usually our small tabby cat is in the back yard looking for mice but she had some competition this morning. This bird usually is up by the pond after frogs and fish but I guess he wanted to check out our yard for a while. Bob

A cattle egret... I think... you sure have some green grass there Bob.

Those Snowy Egrets are cool birds, we have a nesting site up north of Prarie Du Chien Wis. . They make some of the strangest noises when they are grouped up. You never hear a sound from them when they are hunting in the backwaters.
