Hey, I received my 10 inch Hotdog blades from the UPS guy yesterday, and these are the "thin ones" just like they sell at Home Depot, but for less than half of the price!! Looks like they are still on sale too, if you buy two of them ($44.95 each) you get one free!! I don't wanna see anyone miss out on this deal. I'm thinking about getting three more ;D www.stonetooling.com/product/mk-225-hot-dog-10-blade.html

If you have the cash on hand, buy em, they're not going to get any cheaper than that.

The deal sounded a little to good so I waited until someone got theirs. I just ordered mine. ;D. It turns out this place is about 35 miles from me. The S/H was still better than driving to North Hollywood.

I also ordered 3 7" just now, great deal, they will last me forever, all I use them for is cutting preforms. Besides HD has raised price here in Michigan to $49.99, used to be $45.99. These are $23.72 including shipping, I pay $22.99 for Huskies, which I use for slabbing, now I can afford to use one of these for slabbing. Thanks so much for the heads up. Terry

Hello everyone,
My name is Daniel and I'm with StoneTooling.com. I noticed the traffic we were getting from this site and wanted to personally stop in and say thank you. We will be running the promotion on the Hot Dog Blades throughout March on the 7" and 10". If there is any other items you would like to see go on sale, let us know!

Hey Guys -- I just heard that these hot dog blades are not good for cutting agates...does anyone know the scoop on these. Can they be use with water or do they have to be used with oil/coolant?
I also ordered 3....but a buddy of mine told me these are not very good.
Any ideas?

I can only speak for myself, but I use them for cutting shapes only now, and they cut really well. But you have to be careful using them for rough cutting, because they are thinner than a regular tile blade. Randy could tell you better about them. I do use for agate, and I use water Terry

I also ordered 3....but a buddy of mine told me these are not very good. Actually, I do use mine for cutting agates, and they do the best cuts out of any other blades that I've used, but you have to go slow with them or you'll wear out the blade or get an uneven wear causing heavy vibrations and uneven cuts. Since they're on sale until March, I'll surely buy three more soon. It's hard to find them at a good price and I'm gonna make sure that I'm set for a while. Also, you use these with water. You don't ever want to let them run dry either!!

The cut face will have a slight glaze due to the courser diamonds. Since I plan to trim and grind - no problem. If you want glass-smooth cut face that almost does not need polish, then get the MK-303.

So unfortunately we believe a reseller came onto the site and bought 66 of the 10" blades. We are now sold out of those with hopes we can get more in. To prevent further problems with resellers, we will be only honoring the orders from people who have received our ads. We do have the 7" still so if you are interested and would like to place an order, you can email me directly at dnasserian {at} stonetooling.com and I would be happy to honor the price for any members of this board.

Thanks for the heads-up Daniel, bummer about the reseller. He needs to be beat with a rubber hose, I was gonna order three more for my stash. I torture these things!! lol ..... Hmmm maybe a limit "3" per order rule, see how many times a reseller would be willing to pay shipping! ;D
