Hello Everyone, This is my first post, just so you can get to know a little about me I have a habit of taking random broken and/or extra things I find laying around and turning them into something useful or pretty... I've been working in Kuwait for several years now (for the US Army). I am a pack rat and finally found a purpose for several padded steel rods with bearings from nonfunctional laser jet printers and an old desk fan, I built a tumbler (my grandfather was into making rocks shiny). So I bought some grit, polish and rough and I have a new hobby. several batches later (will post pics later) and I'm almost out of rocks to polish. I have polished everything I can think of locally to a high gloss finish- from marble (both natural and man-made) to beach stones (kind of afraid of the water here, no EPA and who knows what kind of sludge the Kuwaiti's are just dumping into the ocean) to gravel (some of which turned out really nice) to broken glass.... I was wondering if anyone knows of any good hounding locations in Kuwait or nearby countries.
Thanks!!!

Never been there, but from all the images I have seen, nothing but sand.
I would use google earth, and look for mountains or outcroppings.
Maybe comb the beaches for glass.
Good Luck.
