They are also using mtminerals - two new usernames - I've been updating the older thread as I see them appear

Me too Randy. Its hard to beat their prices. Just have to be very patient around delivery. One thing I noticed - the cobra tiger I bought doesn't look anything like the cobra tiger you bought.

I was going to ask too but I ran across an auction that looked familiar. fanatic- I noticed that they have a chunk of Cobra Tiger jasper on there now, and it doesn't look even close the the stuff that I got. I sure would like to find more!

Randy - from the outside that looks like what i bought before, but the insides appear to be very different. Mine is very dark, but nice patterns of black/brown/gray. I'd like to find a chunk like you got too!

I just bought a 9+ chunck of Red Jasper from aballiance for less than three bucks a pound. The pictures looked like a good piece but I will see when it gets here.

Try "Roughsale" aka "Astro Gallery" aka "mtmineral" aka "adballiance". There may be yet more ebay auction sites out there run by the same group of Russians. All are overpriced, charge excessive shipping, slow to ship, and are mostly unresponsive to emails. In a few cases the email response is rude. It is true, however, that they offer some goods found nowhere else on the web.
Just be careful.

I just bought an 11 lb piece of black jasper from adballiance. We'll see what happens. The rock looked good, and the price was right. Paid for it yesterday...I'll post the day I receive it. Renter Dan.

Received the chunk of black jasper I ordered from adballiance today. Looks real good! Have there been problems in the past from this seller? Renter Dan.

No problems, some of my best larger rocks come from him. Although shipping is pricey and sometimes slow, the quality and price of the rough more than makes up for it. Since you can't please everyone, the negative feedbacks get him booted off because of the new rules, so he has to come back as a new seller under a different name. Ebay is going down hill. BTW- you're gonna love the black jasper, it's solid and takes a great shine!

Same experience as Randys. Most of the material I got from them was excellent for the price including black jasper, red jasper, green aventurine, yellow aventurine, sodalite, red/pink swirl agate, and the cobra tiger. I had two pieces of questionable material. I had a piece of fancy black jasper - good solid black, but little character other than the white on the skin. The sodalite has wide bands of white and silver running through it and the bands are the same hardness as the blue/black areas. I consider it pretty unique stuff. I also got a white agate that was highly fractured, but the good slabs I did get out of it shaped and polished very nicely indeed. Shipping was slow and pricy, but many of these rocks were 10 lbs for $9.99. At that price you can afford a bit more shipping. I'll buy from them again if the price is right.

Wow, same exact thing here on the fancy jasper. On the outside was brown, red, white and pink but that was only on the outside. The inside was almost solid black in mine too! It did polish up nicely though. I loved the Cobra-Tiger jasper. The red/pink swirl agate was really cool too, but a portion of it had alot of pits and was un-usable. Everything else more than made up for it. I also got a big chunk of sodalite, orange calcite, green quartz, green zebra agate, brown zebra agate, black jasper, red/black agate, and kambamba jasper, all very nice stuff!

I've got a lot of good rock from them and the shipping is a little steep, they dont use the post office, just UPS because they pick it up at the store. The only problem I had was when I bought ten pounds of Opal and they sent five. They responded to my email the next day and shipped the other five pounds right out. Interesting to note that "roughsale" and "astrogallery" are no longer registered users on ebay. I will not miss them. To those still using (or attempting to use) "adballiance", be forewarned that this seller will block bidders with no warning or explaination. This seller has blocked me twice for no reason whatsoever and did not respond to my queries about the situation. Dispite similarities, "mtmineral" denies any association with "adballiance". "mtmineral", however, is the new cover for "astrogallery".
Use caution.
