Hi Everyone, I can't find bikerrandy's thread from the past year when he was tumbling some glass. Lady B also had some good input. I bought this glass from horsinaround when I first started tumbling. It is fun to tumble because it is faster than rocks! But pesky pits from air bubbles appear when you least expect them, and back it goes into stage 1. I know some here on the board have had trouble getting a good shine on glass. I had these pieces in 60/90 until they were "done," then 2 weeks each in 120/220, 500, tripoli, and cerium oxide. Like the results? Sorry about the pictures. I tried using the macro setting, and I turned off the flash. But I think I have the flu despite my flu shot (my daughter was diagnosed with flu type A and strep throat yesterday) so I didn't try really hard.... Hope you like (even though they're not rocks, they're still tumbled!) ;D Amy

I got my glass from Steve too, yours turned out perfect!! Glass is cool, you get alot of colors that we just don't normally see with the jaspers and agates.

Very pretty. You caught the shine in the pic so maybe it's the flue that has you seeing blurry. Hope you feel better soon.

OMG, that's beautiful! Got to put glass on my "to do" list too! I have a small bag somewhere I got ages ago, but have always been hesitant to try and tumble it. Not any more! Now I just gotta find it! ;D llana

Hey those are nice. I have a bunch of glass just laying around my yard and in my aquariums. After your results I just might break them up and tumble them.

Thanks, everyone! I was really happy with my results.
I forgot to mention. USE LOTS OF PLASTIC PELLETS! I think half of my 3-lb barrel was pellets.
Good luck! Happy tumbling!

Amy, your glass came out very nice. The key to it is PATIENCE !!! LOL I have had a couple of batches come out great and a couple did not come out so good.
it will soon be time to go back and pick up more glass so I will soon be taking more orders for it.if any one would like some of this colored glass...let me know and I will make a list when I go back up to get some. Thanks Steve

those came out great, Amy! i did a batch from horsinaround a long while back and was pleased with the results...HOWEVER! i found glass to be a lot gassy and had a rather unpleasant blowout in coarse grind. i checked it regularly (every day) after that and added a lot of borax to counteract the foaming.
