I finally sat down and wrapped a couple of Aventurine... The green one is for my husband's niece and the yellow is for Amber. She gave me her awesome blue lace that I wear quite a bit so it is about time I send her something. It is a rough wrap but that is about as good as I can get it. I swear the silver wire I got was not half hard but hard. Much harder than craft wire so I was really surprised by that. The first wrap is all sterling and the second is sterling with gold half hard, half round bindings. The gold is great to work with. And the summer time one for Amber: Now I just have to get these packaged up and sent off tomorrow. Fran

They look great!
I'm especially impressed that you used half-hard for the main wires! I've used it a couple times when I mis-ordered, and every wrap I do with it is just painful. I much prefer working with dead soft for the main wires and leave the half-hard to the bindings!

Oh Fran, those are beautiful stones and your binding is nice and tight, and I just love your swoops and curls. They are gonna be thrilled! Jo

Fran, those are perfectly elegant! You did a beautiful job wrapping both I can't decide which one I like best. Maybe the yellow but only cause I like that color best. The gold binding is a great accent on that one.
I just swapped from half hard silver to dead soft. I wish I had done that long ago.

Thanks everyone,
I appreciate the input. I just need to sit down and make a few more to get better at it. As soon as I run low on wire I am switching the square wire to dead soft! Fran
