Greetings Everyone,
I put together a parcel with all of the cabbers in mind. Hey Randy, I remember you saying in one of your posts that you thought I had sent you part of my secret stash and I probably did. All of the rocks we have are part of my secret squirrel stash.
Most of the material in this parcel I have had stashed away so well, I never even saw it again.......................Until Rodney found it hidden in the bottom of a bucket in my growing pile of best rocks last week.
I figured instead of hiding these again in some secret spot that I'll never remember, I might as well spice up the lot with some blue and some purple and then list it on Ebay.
I took probably 60 pictures of this material, close ups of each and every rock I picked out for this parcel and even with 60 pictures........the depth and beauty of these agates is hard to grasp.
There are a lot of pieces I can't identify, hopefully Mel will chime in with some history and ID's for the treasures I dug out of Martin Koning's agate pile, if in fact they came from deposits that produced enough material to actually get a name.
I will try and leave a few pictures out, 60 is probably overkill huh! ;D :cheesy:
First up is about 2/3 of the parcel, thats all that would fit in the white box Rodney let me use for my pictures.
This is the other 1/3, reduced to being photographed on an ugly dish towel.
Ok, here we go, no special order and I can't promise you there are no duplicates but I know I didn't take more than 5 of each rock. I hope everyone is comfortable.
I cut windows in all the fire agates
The top slab was one of my stashes
So was this one
and this one
This is one of the pieces that I could not capture, it looks like pudding stone but it is red spots with native copper webbing. We had no idea it was copper until we cut it open last week.
another agate I had stashed
more stash
A beautiful chunk of Brenda Agate
Koning's treasure
A piece of Bossy Moss
Colorful piece of Mexican crazylace
Some pieces of my bestest rocks
This was stashed for sure
Yes, this one again
A rare find from Dead Man Wash
MS = More Stash
Just a guess but I'd say Brenda Agate
This slab I have had for about 10 years, Flame Agate
Mo moss
2 killer slabs of red plume with fortification bands
One of the highlights of this feature presentation
Backlit
Had to throw in our Trademark
Chrysocolla with Shattuckite and Ajoite in Quartz
More of it
Chrysocolla with Hematite........(that is disguised as chalcotrichite) Its definitely bright enough.
Something wild, looks like it might have fell out of a spaceship that was just passing by.
I hope that is the last picture.
Not yet.
This is one of the best displays of plume, Graveyard Point
This is a killer specimen, I don't know if it would hold up against the wheels but in my opinion, its perfect just like it is.
Thats it, the end.
If anyone is interested in this, please let me know before Tuesday evening, thats when I plan on listing it on Ebay.
The starting bid will be $100........
I'd like to know if that is a fair price so please speak your mind. :2cents:
Thanks.
PS, This should be a sufficient fix for all of the picture addicts, myself included. :nono: :cheesy:
