As I have been so lovingly (the mighty one - you know who you are) reminded me about posting the pics for the progression of tumbling, I am now posting. I keep forgetting that posting our pics is important on a couple of fronts .... It lets others know how we are doing, what we are doing, and if there are changes that need to be made we can make them. Yes .... and the occasional WOW ..... looks great!! doesn't hurt either. Here are my current pics of batch#5 started 2/5/09 in one of my Lortone 3 pounder and it is still in 60/90. I have included some pics of my journal (don't laugh) so you can see how I am journaling and if I need to make changes on how I am journaling/documenting the progression of my batches. As always .... My humble thanks and gratitude. These stones are all dry, except for those that I ..... (I Had To!!!! I can't find the damned squirt bottle) licked .... Then again .... I am one with my rocks ;D There are more .... but I am sure ... you get the idea.... Julie

Hi Julie, i always thought that (SC or AO grit) is bad for your teeth if you have any of them left!?
If you need to wet a stone prior to taking it's photo, have a cup of water near by & just dip the stone in the cup.
Four tablespoonfuls of grit in a 3lb barrel, do you not think that is too much, well i do, you will probally get the same results by using 4 level teaspoonfuls of grit & recharge the load for the same stage with 2 level teaspoonfuls of grit, anymore is just waste!
You have a nice varied selection of stones there, some of them will be great if they do not become impact fractured, when fully polished!

Hey Julie, they're shaping up great! You got some nice splotches of color there. Love how the little agate is doing with all its bands. Not too much banging around on the edges of some of those, either. Some look close to ready to being pulled, and some look like they need more. Lookin' Good! Jo
