I got my first real tumbler and almost all my rocks from Shawn Kuhnel at the Rock Shed. About the time I was getting fed up with that super loud plastic toy tumbler I emailed Shawn a question. I forget what the question was now but he gave me a detailed response. He also took some time on the phone with me and helped us get started with good recommendations.
The 2nd time I ordered from him something weird happened though. Among other things I ordered a pound of the small Ocean Jasper. When I got the shipment and opened the bag it was pretty clear that someone in the shipping department had swept the bottom of the OJ bin to complete the order. More than half the bag was sand, chips and fragments, some wood slivers, some crumbled up labels, and pine cone. Yes. A pine cone.
When I called Shawn he was mortified and sent me out another pound of OJ right away. Based on Shawn's reaction and the immediate steps he took to make this right I have more confidence in this vendor then ever.
I did not try to tumble the pine cone so don't ask for pictures.

Again, I got first rate service from The Rock Shed. Shawn sent me a personal email telling me that he shipped a different way and saved me some $$ on shipping my polish.
Truly happy with their service every time.
Highly recommended ;D

Just a minute here.......What do you meant that you didn't try to tumble the pine cone? ? I agree. The Rock Shed is a great on-line business. Randy

I needed an emergency belt for my Lortone 45C, ordered through Shawn's site online. Got a confirmation email immediately and had my belt in two days. Glad to know Shawn's there when I need him. You didn't try to tumble the pine cone? ? JO

In my opinion, the rock shed has great products and some of the best prices out there. I have orderedfrom the site and I am happy with the shipping time. On my last order, I received a baggie with delicious candy stapled to my invoice--what a classy gesture.

Just ordered 20 lbs of grit from them. Got one hell of a good deal on the shipping. I can't buy grit that cheap in Canada. Even with the exchang rate, they blow the stores away up here.

Another happy Rockshed shopper here. Ordered a couple of tumblers (Lortone 33B's), grit, polish, and a few rocks and received it all amazingly fast. Very pleased with everything.

Now that I'm living in Montana and am far away from my old supplier (Facets in Newport, OR), I recently placed an order through the Rock Shed for a new tumbler and a bunch of other supplies. My order was competently filled and I received my order in two days. I appreciate their fast service and decent selection.
I will definitely use them again.
