A friend of mine is now into turning wood and asked if I could make a cab for a lid. Here is the final results. We plan to make more. Thanks for looking! John

Very nice John. I've made lots of boxes over the years but never used one of those lids, I wasn't into rocks the last time I made a box. I'll give that a try once I get my lathe set up again. Any idea what the wood is? I can tell its an exotic but beyond that its tough to tell from the pic. My guess is its a rosewood or maybe a mahogany. Either way its cool.

That box is just beautiful and what a wonderful and unique gift to give someone, man or woman. You could even make the money clip and put it in the box to make the gift extra special.
