Sorry to hear that! Doesn't acetone (nail polish remover) remove crazy glue? Chuck

How the heck did it explode? I hope you are ok and that you have some nail polish remover on hand.

I was so proud of myself. I completed a very simple, single piece of copper and swirled the back and went to glue it to the back of the cab.
Apparently I squeezed to tight and blam! The entire contents of the little vial all over the cab, my hand, and some landed on my lap.
Amazing on how far a little lquid can fly.
This morning I was able to get most of it off my hands and leg and tonight will tackle the cab.
I think Iwill get the push top crazy glue instead of the dropper type.
As always ... Julie

hahaha - I'm sorry to laugh but I've been there and definately done that! I hate super glue. and I DID glue my fingers together - had to have my son turn on the water and get the dirty dishes out of the way
Are you wrapping? why would you need glue - you shouldn't need glue to hold the stone in - unless you're doing some sort of "around the cab only" wrap like a chainmaille thingy.
I hope you can laugh about it now! -

Julie... I always try to keep some of this around the house... just in case you can find it here.... www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=340-640, or something like it at any Home Depot or Lowes.... It will dissolve any cyanoacrylate adhesive into a soft gel, never can tell when you will need it... .... now, fiberglass epoxy resin.... once that hardens, it can be a real problem ( but it won't stick to masking tape at all, crazy huh? ) Chris

I used to glue myself to the cats I was de-clawing as a veterinary assistant!

Are you making wrapped glue on bails like mine? I always us the thick or gel versions of cyanoacrelate glue. I put some glue on the bail, lay it on some aluminum foil and then lay the cab down on top of it. You can get the gel type just about anywhere that sells the superglue including Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot or your local hardware store.
