Nice slab! When you finally do go to cab that material, you might want to practice on some harder stones first. The pink in the jade which I think is thulite ( pink zoisite) is, at least in the cabs I've cut, a much softer material and the green often onionskins. It varies from piece to piece but, when learning to cab, such mixed hardness materials are not the easiest stones to begin on....Mel

Beautiful slab. I agree with Mel. It looks a lot like Thulite. Bob

Very nice slab. I've only ever seen pictures of it - not in person. I bet it'll make some pretty cabs.

I just gave away a nice star diamond cabbing machine with the trim saw attachment. I was sitting on it for over a year, just found it really under a pile of rocks.I`m all about paying it forward. wish I would have know you didnt have anything

JC he has one now and has been cabbing away. Check out his work in the cabbing section. He's pretty darn good.

Very nice and large slab. I have a small piece of Pink Jade that I've been waiting to do. I'm trying to get some thicker black jade slabs to cut bats from. Once I get some, I'll try the pink jade.
