My daughter Lillie and I went to the Tualatin Valley show today in Hillsboro, Oregon. I ended up raiding the same bins as HPD LOL. The .25-$1.00 bins are always my favorite. With the exception of a couple of $1.00 slabs....I paid .25 or .50 cents for each of these. Lots of yummy moss/plume/wood here.......even found a few that are clear enough for my doublets. I also picked up a good sized Priday thunderegg half. Ive seen good moss ones go for $15-$25 at local shows but I got this one for $4. I wont be keeping it for a specimen.....this one will be slabbed and cabbed. Sorry about the flash. I ended up with 35 slabs/slabettes and a thunderegg chunk for $16. Not bad eh? Didnt have our digital with us but I did snap this quickie photo of Lillie and I with my phone cam. Rocks are "our" special thing and I live for this time with her. Thanks for lookin, Shannon

Thanks guys! These are definitely special times for Lillie and I. The rocks are just icing on the cake.
Dennis, you'll get your chance to collect the moss eggs this summer........your May trip might be a bit early for Richardsons.....the roads may be closed but we'll get there at some point. Lillie can show you the ropes. Last time.....one of the Richardson's asked me if I would trade Lillie for a bucket of thundereggs. She looked at me like she thought I just might do it. ROTFL.

LOL! My first thought of the last photograph was that Lillie had a sister! Very nice shot of mum and daughter. Oh, the rack haul is impressive too! Woody

LOL, Thanks Woody. Lillie does have a sister!!! And older sis.......Morgan is thirteen. They tell me that "someday" I will appreciate looking young. But at this point, it would just be nice if I could walk into their schools without being mistaken for a 5th grader lol. And Im serious about that, the 5th graders are taller than I am. ;D Shannon

Shannon: My mother was just barely five feet, maybe a wee bit less, and never weighed more than 90 pounds. Never could buy mature womens clothing off the rack, so had to make her own, or look like a teenybopper. My first leave home from the Navy, she was carded in a bar we were having lunch in...they did not card me although I was just 21. Mum was not sure whether she had been insulted, or complimented. Great Day for the both of You Shannon and Lillie! Found some neat slabs and got to spend some time with your daughter. Cherish the times...they get older and forget about wanting to spend time with parents...at least my two girls have! ;D Steve

NICE PRIDAY!!!!
I went to a rock show yesterday too, the best I could find were $1 slabs. They must not believe in quarter slabs!
Some great pics of you and yours, a couple of cuties!!
