I thought you all might enjoy a few pictures from a parcel I recently received from Jamie. Maybe she can tell us a little bit about some of them. I am still too much of a newbie to know what I am looking at: I think my favorite is the one at six o'clock in this picture: Some more from the box: I took this one separtely so in hopes that you could see the copper running through the rock. It was a little harder to phtograph to get it to show: This is only a small portion of what was in the box, but I just picked the ones that I liked best, and the ones that I thuoght would photograph best. Hope you enjoy them. Hope

I think every year, even when I have a backlog of rock to get to, it doesn't matter (!!) I need to treat myself to one of Jamie's boxes. Any day I get a box, it's like Christmas morning and I'm 6 years old again!!!

Boy Hope, I thought I'd be able to help with the IDs a bit, all I know for sure is the poppy came from Mel and he collected it from a place in the cady mtns. As far as specific identification goes, I'd need some close ups so I could see the rock a little better. I do know that your favorite was also my favorite, I got that one from Koning's pile and it was picked up by Martin somewhere down the line. I'm guessing it came from the Santa Maria Mountains, he did a lot of hunting there.

I can tell you that the triangle shaped rock is native copper with jasper and phenocryst, not sure if I spelled that right. The one above the copper rock in the second picture is some plume that comes from around lake pleasant here in Arizona. The nodule with the fortification in the middle of the second picture came from the Chimney Beds/4th of July Butte area. I'm guessing the one you like so much probably came from the Brenda area, I don't think there is any left out there, source was probably depleted a long time ago.
