Donna and I are going digging flourite the 26th thru the 29th at Marion, Ky. The vein was exposed on the last dig and this will be another great dig. The overburden has been removed to make digging easier. Cost is $25 per person per day for each 5 Gal bucket. $20 for each addition bucket. Meet at 9 am at the Clement Mineral Museum. Gonna be a great trip. Ken

Oh my gosh!!! I don't think I could dig for that in that mud! Yuck!!!! Did you find a lot of it? I sure hope so after all that mess!!!

Nothing like rolling around in what appears to be a giant outdoor toilet for rocks. lol Doesn't appear that the pump could keep up with the ground water. It looks like a fun time. So what did you find?

Flourite cubes. Sorry for the fuzzy picture. rockhound, not a photographer. Purple cubes on yellow with purple druzy on the bottom. Found two 5 gal. buckets of flourite, some with galena.

Cleaned a few more today. Here is one. About a thousand dollar specimen. According to the prices we saw in the museum. Enjoy.
