Good for you. I have yet to see a tumble batch that was too polished. Well, there was the stabilized turquoise I tumbled until it looked like plastic.

It's your decision, Babe. Now or later. That's what it's all about. It's about what YOU'RE happy with. Just my :2cents: , but wouldn't it be a great thing to learn what 3 more days does to it. You'll add more knowledge and skills to your knowledge base arsenal. Can't wait to see pics! Jo

Lori..............no matter when you pull them out, you can always put them back for more polishing. Now, if someone would just come up with a way to look inside whilst they are tumbling away!!! Woody

Julie, be patient! I know how hard it is. Tell yourself "I'd better wait until the weekend when I have more time...."
I started a new batch in rough this past weekend, and I'm dying to see how things are shaping up already! I check my batches every week, usually looking at almost every stone! And this is a 12-lb tumbler! I'm such a nut. It's so fascinating how everything changes, quickly or slowly, in stage 1.
Ooops, got distracted. Patience, grasshopper. You're such a hoot! "Isn't anyone going to tell me..." <grin>
Your patience will be rewarded....
Amy

You guys just kill me! ;D
Hey Dean ... have you started the design for the clear barrel and lid? What a slick idea!!!
We would never have to worry about opening and reclosing or reopening and reclosing. HA
As Always!!!!

I'd compromise if it was me. Pull out a few you think are done now. Then compare to the ones you leave in longer. Next time you can say whether you think it was worth it or not. Of course, every batch is different.

Someone (I forget who) once did the clear barrel lid thing. I believe the end result was, that while a cool idea, it didn't actually help at all because the lid quckly became coated in slurry and then nothing could be seen inside the barrel anyway.

Hey Julie, just chill and wait a few more days. When you clean the rocks and think they're still wet, when in fact they're dry, you'll be glad you waited!
