yes, I have been scoping out Pilbara for a while.
The busier pieces draw my eye, but I wonder if the less busy ones would cab better.

MA: That rosetta stone is awesome!!!Beautiful colors! The Pilbara is getting popular it seems, they even had it at a rock show here in PA. I see slice 3 has a little banded area, that is cool!

Now those really look pretty! That rosetta stone is nicely patterned and I don't recall seeing the pilbara before so it is a new one to me. Very pretty! Fran

WOW !! the Pilbara Jasper is way kewll ... those colors are incredible .. the last 3 pics.... dang ,, the rosetta stone is very nice also . Looks like you did very well at the show

Cool cuts. I've cabbed a piece of pilbara. The piece I have is a bit tough to work since it gets chippy in the areas where the color changes. Its worth the effort though.

yes as i'm cutting it, it tends to break apart. I still got some pretty good size slabs though. It different stuff for sure. Ralph likes it, i don't lol I like the rosetta stone better. I still have a butterfly wing and sodalite to cut. I hope the butterfly looks as good as the one he cut at the show.
