Well, I am back along with Stoner. Some of the folks are still out there. All I can say is that it was a blast. The first couple of nights I was shivering my bones off in the tent, but it was fun. Some of us hunted in various parts of the ranch and also hunted at the Richie Ranch. What is really cool is that even though we all are basically pen pals and communicate mostly through these boards, we all are good friends. You would think we've known each other for years. No one tries to outdo one another or tries to impress each other. Everyone is accepted for who they are. The bottom line is that we are all rockhounds. There will be stories to come and pictures to be seen in the next few days including questions that will be asked that only the Condor can answer in his never ending wisdom as he goes about his "Gospel According to Condor." So sit back, relax, and enjoy these few pictures of the Blitz. A couple of K-9 creatures. (forground, not background) Kickin' back after a long hard day of rock hounding. Ummm, I thinks he went that way. Let's have rock soup for dinner. Telling tall tales about the big rock that got away. Condor

Aw - who's Fitz's pal in the first picture? I'm still kicking myself that I wasn't able to make it even for part of a day...

That's Dobbie. A chihuahua that I never heard bark, growl, or make any kind of noise. He was everyone's friend. Dan would put him inside his jacket and all you would see is his head peak out of it.

Okay, next time I promise to get more pics!!! Once again, I got busy looking for rocks and only got a few pics. It was a great trip though, the nights were cold and damp so I had to sleep in a tent, but at least I was able to unzip all the windows and still sleep under the stars. The people were great, Condor picked me up at the airport and we picked up where we left off 2 years ago, laughing and shooting the breeze the entire way to the ranch. It was nice to see the people who were at the first Blitz, plus a few new faces. Susan brought her new husband, Dave, and Turnedstone, George, was the other new face and both were a pleasure to meet. The collecting is always nice, but you can't beat the time spent sitting around talking and yukking it up, and we did a lot of that!!!! It was a good deposit into my memory bank, one I'm sure I'll draw from many times in my life. Here's the pics I got. Just making sure Condor had a good tire this time. We saw this as we pulled off the freeway, only in Texas!!! ;D Condor and Dan Robert The 3 of them resting after the hunt. Our view, just think how many red plume bisquits there are out there!!! Sunrise from camp. Half moon in the morning. Took this pic using Dan's head as my tripod!!!!! There will be some pics of the rocks as soon as they come in the mail. I did bring some home in my luggage and I'll take pics tomorrow. For now, here's a red plume from the last trip.

As good and fun as it was it would not have been made possible without two very important people. Jan and Trey, the owners of Woodward Ranch. Thanks to both of you for allowing us to hunt on your property. I for sure will see you sooner rather than later. Keep you eyes peeled for some homemade beef jerky coming your way.

Hey Dan,
Where's my favorite one of all that you found? It was the tube with the yellow in the center. Gotta post that one. Man, that was a nice one.

WOW, great pics Dan, you found some beauties! Was Ed cabbing there at the site? That was his tray of cabs in the first set wasn't it? I can spot his work a mile away.
I really liked you showing the biscuits where you found them. Those buggers must be hard to spot!! Looks like you all had an awesome time! Now you must get busy cabbing!
