WOW !! What a wonderful gift .. So much history that coin has seen ... The generosity of the people on this forum is just remarkable. John .. your one of the people that makes this a great forum. I have talked to Shannon and she truly loves this little piece of history. I know she will always keep it close to her heart.

WOW, what a touching gift for you, Shannon! All you need now is a cool rock from Scotland and maybe you will be able to make a very special doublet using that rock and that piece of history.
WTG, John!

That is a wonderful gift he sent you. Holding anything that old and so steeped in history must make you wonder whose pouch it traveled in and how many times it passed from one hand to another.

Woo hoo, weeshan, you took some wonderful pictures of the coin. Obviously I've handled that coin many many times, turned it into the light to get a better view of the coin surface and everything. The picture of the coin in your hand is excellent. Shows clear lines of the details. Actually all the ones you have taken show clear lines of detail. Then again it is easy for me to notice because 'coins' are one of my things So very pleased you like it. I'm sure you deserve it more than I.

Adrian, Funny that you should mention that........I ordered some agate directly from Scotland and received it just last month! Shannon Damn, damn, damn!! I should have been concentrating, and thinking better, and looking at what was in the garage, instead of trying to get weights and sizes. I could have used some Scottish agate as a filler. Bugger!!! You'll find out soon enough
