Wolfden asked me a question the other day that I didnt think much about until today.
Regarding the water supply to your cabbers. If you use additive in your water and you cab alot, you really go through quite a bit of that stuff. Could you re-use it? Im just wondering because I dumped my bucket of water today and I noticed the water was very clean........and all the rock sediment had settled at the very bottom. Could this be put back in my water receptacle and ran through the tubing back onto my wheels?

It should be just fine. About 2 years ago I started using a pump in a 5 gal bucket to supply water, and the pump sits on the bottom of the bucket, in the muck! So far I haven't seen any ill effects. So if you're just going to skim off the clean water, you should be fine.

Probably won't be an issue.
On another note, the water additives are just surfactants (i.e. soaps). They break the surface tension, keeping the wheels and cab surface "more wet." I use one small drop of dawn liquid detergent in my pans.

I am just starting to practice cabbing, and seeing this post I wonder if you could use Borax, much cheaper than the stuff I bought to use. Terry
