In threads over the last year, there has never been pics. That is suspicious.
Also, this site is about the lapidary hobbies. SOme here generalize their affection for rocks to include the ones that do not polish, or to fossils - but it really seems like you want a site dedicated to selling minerals and fossils, and not one dedicated to discussing the hobby.

More than 600.00 a pound? There's better deals on ebay and they have pics for us to look at. Unless you have bugs or something like a rare plant, how could it be worth that much? Pics and descriptions please.

sorry guys! havent been on the forum in a while.
New Jersey cretaceous amber is very rare, only 500 pounds found ever, compaired to the thousands of tons of baltic amber mined each year.
and as per your question, bugs are worth $100 - $200 a piece on the cheap end. Ive found a complete wasp that I sold for $275.

NJ is not to only place you find Cretaceous Amber. Yes Cretaceous is harder to find than others. Baltic being the easyest. It is far from rare. It may be rare in NJ but its still Cret. Amber. And unless there is inclusions in every piece, or it is large enough to make cabs etc. Large Cret. Amber is rare. Its useless. If your username on Ebay is fisherman, I have bought some of it. And was not impressed. The pieces ave. about 4mm. I did get a refund. If they are large I could be interested in it. Lets see some pic's. I like pieces the size of these ones.

"New Jersey cretaceous amber is very rare, only 500 pounds found ever, compaired to the thousands of tons of baltic amber mined each year."
If you happened to bump into someone else at the collecting site, chances are that it's pretty well known. Unless you have control of who goes there, there's no way to know how much material has been removed, so your claim that there's <500 pounds in existence is unfounded.
After numerous requests, why have you not supplied pics of this material? This isn't the first time you've tried to peddle this ridiculously overpriced material here. You didn't supply pics the last time, and you've been asked for them again this time and have either avoided or ignored that request.

In the past yes i have bumped into him at the site. as of now the site is being prepped for construction, and all of the holes that were dug by the museum of natural history in the 1990's are filled in. the biggest lot of this amber not in the museams hands i have heard of is around a pound. Ill supply pics asap.

"Whether you know about it" is the key to what I mentioned. You don't know how many people know of the site, nor how much they may have found and taken over the past 10-20 years. Just because you've only heard of someone having a pound doesn't mean there aren't people who have much, much more.
Awaiting pics. Whether it's worth $15 a gram or not will depend mostly on it's appearance, since this is a lapidary forum.

Wow, $600/pound just for clear amber. I don't think I'll be cabbing any of that.

Good Amber can cost that much. Amber is light, 1lb is a LOT of Amber About 2 1/2 lbs of Amber About 2 lbs Thats why amber seems like a lot of money. Don't think there would be a market if it was $5 a lb.

gettin some big chunks out to a member for slabbing...
i had a look at the 100g i offered here...its not all that pretty now..rough..its value is mostly in its rarity. once it is tumbled it would be worth more of coarse.
that one insect i posted i had offers of over $175 for it.if it was baltic it would be around $15 on ebay, but sice it is extremely rare Cretaceous amber, it is worth a conciderable amount more.
if anybody is still interested, ill get the pics.
