I am always trying to find new instructions for wrapping that are a little less complicated to learn with. I came across this thread ... Randy's Red Lace forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wwp&thread=28832&page=1It seems like one that I can try without too many 4 letter words coming out of my mouth. And there are other great wraps there too. Actually I did great ... however after I got the swirl wrap at the top done (it did look cool) I had to start screwing around with not only the last four strands on the back, but the swirl wrap as well ... Only Me ... ;D I did have fun with this one as well. I will also be doing this one again. Looks tight and neat. AND ... I twisted the wire myself.

Julie, Havent you figured it out yet? Its the four letter words that MAKE the wrapping easier. Thats what Ive found anyway LOL Good job, and I admire your persistence. It just takes time and you are improving with each one. Shannon

Julie, I am flattered that you tried that wrap. What a superb job you did and your twists look great! You have definitely become multi talented between your tumbling, wrapping and learning to cab through your rock club. WTG!

I am trying to learn what I can in between tumbles.
However ... I have only had exposure to the lap lab once and that was before the meeting.
I have been trying to get a hold of the lab guys to find out when I can come down and learn and play. Woof!!
I will probably try this wrap again ... in copper and maybe not twisted.
As always Julie

Very nice. I am impressed with your nice tight binding and the fact that you kept all those wires straight. Keep at it! Jo

Whew that's a lot of wire to twist. Nice work.

That is nicely done. So how difficult is the pin vise? For mechanically challenged people as in me? LOL! I have been contemplating getting one - love that twisted wire. You did good.

Hi kids!
KentuckyRocker ... I am still somewhat new and wing it when it comes to doing some stuff. I have one question though ... Pin vise? What is a pin vise?
TonyTerner ...
Not a lot of wire ... I took 4 strands of square 22 at 12" each and stapled one end to a board, wrapped the other end around a pencil and turned it until I got the size of twist I wanted. Each strand takes about 1-2 minutes (if that).
Women are the one creatures to use kitchen tools and office supplies to make usable tools for everyday needs. ;D
