I've made quite a few pieces since I last posted any photo's but this one is special so I thought I'd post it. I have tried sealing fractures in Montana Agate for ions but always failed at it. I contacted Bobby 1(several times) and he was nice enough to explain exactly what I needed to do it and how to as well! Thanks Bob! Montana Agate / sealed fractures,,,,,,,,, connrock

Beautiful pendant, Tom! That cab is a beauty and the silver frame looks so tight on the stone, no gaps at all! You are so lucky to be able to ask Bob's advices and it looks like he doesn't have to tell you twice a thing for you to "catch" it.

Adrian, Thanks, I love Montana agate and could hardly ever find slabs without flaws of some kind. Now it doesn't matter if the slabs have cracks,,,,,thanks to Bobby!!
Titania, Thanks
Tweets, Thanks, The cabs outline looks like a dogs head and I wasn't going to cut it that way after I realized it but the pattern in the agate was so pretty I just couldn't "crop" it!
Tigger, Thanks, I'm still in kindergarten silversmith class but I'm getting there slowly!!
Thanks all,,,,

weeshan, Thanks, It IS a beautiful stone!!
cpdad, Thanks, Yes Kev,,,,,,How sweet it isssssssss!!
stonesthatrock, Thanks I use Opticon to seal the fractures and finally got it to work for me thanks again to Bobby. It's a little messy but I think the mess and time to do t are well worth it when I can save a piece like the one in the pendant. If you want the whole process PM me.

Wow! What a work of art. The pic in that stone looks like a clipper ship on a rock riding a wave. You sure created a masterpiece.

sitnwrap, thanks, everyone sees patterns with a different light.
when i was a kid my sisters and i used to play "clouds".we would sit on the front porch and "make" things out of the clouds. some were elephants, some were houses, some were even people!!!
bobby1, thanks, it took some doing but we got tom sealing fractures!!
thanks again for all your help!
jack, thanks, i just couldn't let that beautiful montana agate lay there with it's fractures. it deserved better then that!

Connrock, Your work is just so beautiful! That silver is just perfect around the cab and you can't tell there are fractures so you did an excellent job at sealing them! Fran

Amber, Thanks, Glad to know I have at least 1 bona fide fan!! Must be lonely sitting in the bleachers all by yourself??? lol Tony,, Thanks,,, What,,,,no snide remarks about my terrible attitude??? ;D I've been pumping pendants out left and right. I even made a few from some lousy old rocks from my back yard that came out pretty good! When are you going to start working with silver? Fran, Thank, I still see flaws in my silver work but it's coming along with every piece I make. I was getting a little frustrated with myself just this morning trying to do something that was difficult (for me). Then I sat back and thought to myself,,,'Hey dummy,,,,,you couldn't even think about doing this a short time ago"!! lol connrock
