My vibe is a 10 lb model. I use about 4 TBL of grit. If I was unsure, I would start out with a little bit and add till I liked the looks. I try to keep just a thin covering on my stones.

Is this the same recipe that Tom (Connrock) and Jack use?
I use 8 oz of 120/220 in my UV-18, 4 oz. of everything else.

Hey guys, Randy's recipe is for a 10 lb. barrel (UV-10) and 4 Tblsp is good. I think it's a little bit different than Tom and Jack use, but I'm not sure. I've followed Randy's instructions and it's worked great. Jo

Hi Ralph and Mary Anne,
My Lot"O" is 3 1/2 lb
Here is a shortened version, contact Tom or Me (john@matco.me.uk) for the full recepie if you want
2nd stage is 6 flat tea spoons of 220 Grit
after that its only 1/2 a tea spoon of grit 500, 1000, tripoly.
Washing and changing after 220G and 500 G then I do a wash Burnishing /Borax stage then into 1000 G then add Tripoly to 1000G after 48 hrs (No washing)
24 to 36hrs later wash in warm water and Ivory
[glow=red,2,300]"After 24hours just see the high polish you get " Quote from Tom (Connrock)[/glow]
Hope this helps its a bit nearer to a 1lb machine than a 15lb machine
Just observe the rocks and the results you get
