I know this may sound a bit lame .... but ...
Once you have the equipment or access to ... I see groove wrapping as being easier than other wrapping. Is this the case? or Not?
As always ... Julie

Ahhhh Julie, I thought that was the case as well, actually it is still a pain in the butt!! It is easier in that you just have to wrap the bails, which I struggle with, and odd shapes and those that are concave are a bit more difficult. I love the groove wraps on a really great busy cab, but the regular wraps are cool to hide problems with the cabs, like in my case if the sides are scratched, or you have a small cab that you want bigger, etc! My novice opinion!

I like the simplisity of the groove wrap...that is until I look at Randy's and Lori's elaborate wraps. Like Amber said, once the wire is in the groove, all you have is the bail wrap, and that is easier than a regular warap only because one only has two wire ends to contend with. I tried half round wire with the round going into the groove leaving the flat on the outside. This worked well until I got to the bail, and had to put a ninety degree bend in the wire to form the bail. Round wire works much better. Woody

Julie Yes Julie, this was one of the reasons which lead me to the groove wrapping: making lousy classical wraps. I found it much more easy. Adrian
