Amber and Tony and Bobby and Autumn (their kids) and I met at the LuLu Shreiner's Temple in Plymouth Meeting, PA today to check out the Mineral and Fossil Show. I picked up a few slabs and a chunk of really cool druzy OJ. We had a great time. I'm so glad I was there with them. Seeing them with their kids was wonderful and watching Amber talk rock with the vendors and having the benefit of Tony's knowledge was a great experience. Amber, of course showered me with gifts. Look! AMETHYST!!!!!!! Look, MORE AMETHYST!!!! And some saw scraps for tumbling. Amber also brought Angie some dog treats she picked up as free samples from when she visited the Pet Expo a couple weeks ago. Amber, Angie absolutely LOVED them! So nice to be with y'all again, Thank you both SO much! Jo

I should do a closeup of all sides in my new lightbox. With the druzy pockets, I might keep it as a specimen...

It was good seeing you too Jo. That is a special piece of OJ. Wish I wasn't so broke and could have spent some hard earned cash. Now get to cabbing and post what you make.

The guy I bought the slabs from called the bottom center three "Starry, Starry Night". He bought the rough from someone with the right to re-name it. Has a hardness of 7, but is cut at an angle to get the landscape with blue starry skies effect. The lighter colored material is a bit softer so it's not ideal for vibe cabs. Looking forward to working that stuff. Jo

It's fun reading about your get togethers. Between the show the gifts and each other's company it really makes for a great day. That rock in the second pic looks like candy.
