Boy that's one nice cluster of grapes! I also like all the little baby storks waiting for mama to bring some food to them (2nd pic). What a great display piece. Garry

Very nice... As I try to be the best I can in identifying my eggs... I'd have to guess that came from an old locality called "Big Oak Springs" or Also known as Hunt Ranch. Which the locality is on the banks of the Deschutes River south of the Town of Maupin. It's so close to the Warm Springs Indian Reservation that the egg could have very well come from Res. Land. The eggs were typically large and had the tube agate such as this one. Hope that helps! Jason www.oregonthundereggs.com

It's been a while since I posted anything about Granpa Wilbur's yard so here's some pics... Granpa & his wife Effie were rockhounds probably starting back in the 40's & traveled all over the Northwest & beyond in an OLD beat up motor home. Their family home is in the outskirts of Gresham & I became friends with one of their sons & his wife. The first time I saw Granpa's yard I was struck dumb because there is just sooooo much rock here. (in some places...you can dig in their yard 2 & 3 ft deep and still come out with specimens!) Honestly...I have NO clue how some of this rock ended up here. There's one thunderegg that's about 2.5 feet in diameter in their yard. Now how the heck did they get that one home? Granpa passed away about a year ago but his son still has the house & they move the rock around on a regular basis trying to find just the right spots to show it off!

Looks like Granpa and his wife created a little piece of rock heaven in their own yard. The wagon wheels are really neat.

That is an awesome egg. Almost looks like fire-agate inside: do you see any play of colors deep inside the botryoidal material?

Dean...no color play. Just a solid rootbeer color throughout.
