I am thinking of heading there for the Rockhound show in June, anyone else going to be there? Will be taking my 9 year old a wife, so if anyone has any good stops on the way between San Francisco area and there would appreciate hearing about it.

Sometimes I'm just not sure. Afterall it is the country of Jerry Springer.

If you are going up I-5 stop at Gaumers in Red Bluff. Fantastic rock museum, rock shop/jewelry store. Not open on weekends unless they changed their hours since June 08. If you are going up the Coast Route 101 stop at Chapman's Rock Museum. Another fantastic place. The yard is piled high with rocks. The museum is about 15 miles south of Eureka. Bob

Prineville's a good show and my buddy is actually trying to get me to set-up and sell down there with him... Unsure just yet if I have time! If it was me though, I'd try to stay in the area for a week and attend the Madras show also. It's a larger show - I usually go to both shows and search and destroy for Thundereggs! Plus it gives me an excuse to sneak off and dig at my claims lol

I will be there. The plans are still shaping up, but as of now we have a group of 8 that will be there collecting from the Prineville show through the Madras pow-wow (June 25-July 5). I'll post more as June approaches.
