One bucket from Cape Sharp just wasn’t enough, so I did a return visit to Partridge Island. This location is about 5 miles down the bay from Cape Sharp, but the material is surprisingly different for the close proximity. Every fisherman has a tale of the proverbial “one that got away”. Today, I have two to share. At least, as a rockbound, I have photographic evidence of the ones that got away. After two painful bucket loads, I just didn’t have it in me to drag these back. I often leave the beach with a tear in my eye. Quartz filled agateI stacked them up for a younger rock hound to find. Blue/Grey Agate with peach inclusions and a Malachite crustThis one must have weighed 15 pounds. There’s a tear in my beer. I noticed upon returning to my Chev truck that I had parked the front tire on this poor fellow. There’s rock everywhere! Hope your enjoying the photos and my ramblings. 150FromFundy

Agate Road is like that ... agate everywhere, for miles ... it's either time to go or the truck's full, either way it's hard to pull myself away.

I stacked them up for a younger rock hound to find. That's awesome....being the father of an 8 year old avid rockhound, I can really appreciate that!

Boy, you sure got a lot of great collecting in! That really looks like some wonderful material. Too bad you had to leave some behind but lets face it. The back is more important! Fran

Well there's always next time, right? Looks like you found some killer rock out there, and brought home some keepers!
